All of my Japanese candy finally arrived! ^^
I added photos to my Facebook along with descriptions which took me forever to write up, so I just copied and pasted the descriptions in order of which photos show up.
- “Hapii kicchin hanbaagaa” (Happy Kitchen Hamburger) - It’s a set where you make your own fast food! Two cheeseburgers with ketchup, a cola and french fries, and it comes with flags to keep the burgers together, and a container for the cola and french fries! It’s savoury - The french fries have a slight potato taste, and the burgers taste like bullion. The ketchup is sweet like ketchup and the cola has an artificial cola flavour, like cola bottles from Haribo.
- “Tsukerou! Obentou!” (Let’s make! Lunch!) - I’m unsure as to whether this will taste sweet or savoury, I’m presuming savoury - You make your own bento box! You make rice, tako-sausage (Octopus shaped sausage), tamagoyaki (rolled egg), broccoli, karaage (Japanese fried chicken) and a napolitana sauce! The rice, put together with the nori (seaweed) makes a panda head!
- “Wata gashi kara dorinku? Moko awa sheiku” (Drink from cotton candy? Moco foamy shake) - This one is “ramune” flavour, or, like a citrus-soda flavour - In this set, you make your own foamy “shake”! You add “cotton candy” to a bowl of water and dissolve, then add the sachet of powder and mix, and it foams up! Then, you drink it!
- Same as the last set, except this is “budou”, an artificial grape flavour! Maybe like a grape flavoured starburst or something?
- This is “Oekaki Panda Yaki” (Baked Panda Drawing) - In this set, you make your own Panda-shaped pancake! You mix up chocolate batter and vanilla batter, and “paint” it onto the stencil sheet using a small piper, then microwave!
- This is “Gumi Tsureta” (Gummy Fishing) - With this set you, fish out your gummy candy from a magical liquid and powder! This one is pink, and it’s budou, artificial grape flavoured.
- This is “Ramen Setto” (Ramen Set) - Very self-explanatory, you make your own candy ramen with gyoza! The ramen is savoury, I think. The soup has a salty taste as opposed to sweet, and the noodles will taste like the soup. The gyozas, however, I think are sweet, as you add the sweet “toppings” inside as the filling.
- This is “Mazeru to Purin” (The Pudding Mix) - In this set you make a Creme Caramel style dessert, like Giga pudding except this one is small. So it’ll taste like…creme caramel.
- This is “Yataimu kono Takoyaki Yasan” (Time for Mr. Takoyaki) - In this set you make your own Takoyaki, or fried octopus dumplings! The octopus pieces are strawberry flavoured, and the “batter” is peach flavoured! It also has a caramel sauce and sweet sugary toppings.
- These are both “Neru neru neru ne”, I’m not sure what it means as “neru” is “sleep”, but it could be something like “Mix mix mix”. The one on the left is Ramune flavoured, the one on the right is Budou flavoured. With both sets, you make your own candy “goo”, and add rainbow coloured sugar crystals to give it a crunch. It also says “Nette Oishii”, which means “Delicious Mixing”.

EDIT: I’ve since tried two of these!
- Grape Nerunerunerune: It was really, REALLY sour. I’m not a fan of sour candy so that was an instant put-off for me. The texture of it is somewhat similar to marshmallow, I think. That was also another put-off factor. I really couldn’t eat this. I’d give Nerunerunerune (Grape) a 0/5.
- Grape Gumi Tsureta: This was edible, at least. The texture was really unusual and I had to force myself to eat it due to the texture, but the taste wasn’t bad. I’d give Gumi Tsureta (Grape) a 1/5.

The mass pocky order and my Shinto Shrine arrived today!
The seller of the shrine kindly included a Meiji “Nigi Nigi Osushi Yasan”, which is a Gummy Sushi pack. The gummies are moulded in the shape of sushi ingredients. I don’t think it specifies what the rice flavour is, but I think it says when you put the topping together with the rice, it makes a peach flavour!
Maguro (Tuna) - Cherry flavour.
Akagai (Clam?) - Orange flavour.
Ika (Squid) - Orange flavour.
Tako (Octopus) - Cherry flavour.
Ikura (Salmon roe) - Orange flavour.
Ebi (Shrimp) - Cherry flavour.
Tamago (Egg) - Orange flavour.
I’m just about to try one, I’m not too keen on peaches so I’m not sure how this’ll turn out. Either way, itadakimasu!
Wow okay. It…has a hint of peach but I could just taste the orange more than anything. Still not sure what the rice is supposed to be flavoured like. Oh well.
My shrine is beautiful too, is it not? I’m so glad it arrived, now my Jingutaima can stay in there <3
